Sign of the times

Jasper spotted this sign in the park on Interlachen today.  It's shown here upside down, and the other side has the name of the park (Summit Pointe).  You can see why they decided this side wasn't going to be used & they thought, "Maybe no one will notice the goof:  No D in Woodbury, if we hang it upside down."

Jasper says, "It's HOT here in Minnesota.  I hope you are cool there in Niikaapu, Will."

My adventures this week

Mom baked banana bread.  I LIKE banana bread.

Dad & PJ at Camp Courage.  We used the wagon to haul the heavy ham radio gear.

Our first miniature tomatoes of the season. I like banana bread, NOT tomatoes.  Yuck.

Nice visiting today

It was fun to visit with my bother Will today on Skype.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some serious chewing to do. Oh, I also went to the post office today. Mom went inside for some forms and I checked out the trees and lawn!

Hard day

Well, it wasn't really THAT hard a day for me, but I still like to hit the sofa to relax. It was fun seeing my brother Will on Skype earlier today, so I think the excitement pooped me out.

Doing some packing

Today mom and dad did some packing. We have these boxes, which I have personally inspected, ready to ship off to Niikappu.

My first day without my brother.

Hello, everyone.

My name is Jasper, and I'm a Corgi-Cocker Spaniel mix. My brother Will, a member of my family, is headed for Japan today. He is flying out of Chicago, and I will miss him. I plan to write something for him to read every day, since he will be in Japan for a whole year teaching English on the island of Hokkaido.

Here we are in a picture together. I'll miss Will, but I know he is going to be doing good work teaching and he is going to make lots of new friends. I am going to be thinking about him every day when I take my walk in the park. Dad and Mom will miss you, too.

This morning they picked me up from the boarding kennel, and I was so excited! I could hardly wait to get back in the car, and then get back home and sniff everything and do some serious barking.

Have a good time in Japan, Will. You will always be part of our pack.
